you can rest easy knowing hedwig was well looked after in the afterlife; it was confusing and terrifying and sad at first but a little while after arriving she felt a light weight on her head and looked up to find her boy, harry potter, staring warmly down at her and smoothing out her feathers, just like he always did

except… he had hazel eyes? and he looked a bit older than hedwig remembered, and who was that red-haired woman with him?

hedwig is confused again. but harry is here, and all is well, so she tucks her head under her wing and falls fast asleep.

Little extra thing for my Guilty Gear Sitcom AU: Since Sol is canonically Daisuke Ishiwatari (the creator of GG and the composer of most if not all of the music therein), and since in this AU he was in a band (let’s call them “The Gears” just cause), all the vocal songs were written by him (and Asuka on occasion), and they all have a little back story:

Sky Should Be High: The first song Sol made for the band specifically. Asuka wanted him to make a song that sounded “Angry and daring.” The title comes from something Aria told him while sharing a smoke, “The sky is too high to reach out for. But that’s the point isn’t it? You can never touch it so you never stop trying.” Aria made fun of him and called him a mushy bastard for a week after he told her that. (She kissed him on the cheek when Asuka looked away.)

Freesia: Sol is, like in canon, a big time Queen fan. He considers this song a tribute to Freddie Mercury specifically though. Asuka isn’t the biggest fan of it though, saying it kinda clashes with their style. Sol still manages to convince him to let him finish a set with it every now and again. (The fact that Aria says its her favorite may or may not have anything to do with it.)

Heavy Day: This is a song Sol wrote a long time ago, probably the first he ever wrote. He wrote it a few years before he met Aria, during a week when, looking back on it, was a…difficult time in his life. It took him a while to bring it out for a set because he was a bit self conscious about it. (Aria said that she could feel the teenage angst coming off of that song after he preformed it for the first time. The look he gave her must have been something else, because she apologized for the only time he remembers.)

Ride The Fire: The first song Asuka and Sol made together, Asuka writing the lyrics while Sol did the music. Sol had no idea that Asuka was that into heavy metal. He rarely preformed this one though, since it’s a crapshoot if that metal scream in the beginning makes him lose his voice for the rest of the set. (After hearing it practiced for the first time Aria swore that if they ever practice that song in her house ever again, she’ll shove Sol’s guitar down Asuka’s throat.)

Tsuki no Shiai: The second song Asuka and Sol made together. And also the last. Sol refuses to sing this song at any other point in a set except for the ending. The song is murder on his vocal chords. Sol not being a big fan of death metal doesn’t help. (Aria referred to Asuka as “our goth friend” for a good week after they showed her this song.)

All I Can Do: The last song Sol wrote for the band. It came to Sol literally in the middle of the night. He shot up from bed, at 2AM, scaring the shit out of Aria, and called Asuka to come over so they could write this down right now come on! No I don’t care if there’s school tomorrow this is the best song ever move your ass! It was the only time Sol was actually excited about writing a song, instead of being mildly satisfied with it. (Aria would have found the big dopey grin he had while he dragged Asuka around to the drum set adorable if it wasn’t 2 in the fucking morning.)

Lily: A song he wrote while he was stuck on another song and he thought sketching something simple and slow would help him past his block. He ended up spending 5 whole hours on it and still couldn’t finish the other song. The worst part was that the song was so against the band’s style that Asuka wouldn’t let him use it, so he essentially wasted 5 hours for absolutely nothing. (Eventually the song, or at least a softer version of it, would find a use as a lullaby for Dizzy during the first few years. Every now and again when they’re alone she convinces him to play the song again, just for her. He can never say no.)

Birthday Train(obviously): Ky found out through Dizzy that Sol used to play guitar, and suggested that he sing a few songs at the wedding. It took a long time of asking and Dizzy utilizing her puppy dog eyes at every opportunity but eventually he caved. And then he ran into the problem that just about song he wrote, short of Lily, wasn’t exactly wedding materiel. So he wrecked his head for a full month, only finishing up the song about a week before the wedding.

It took a while to get the wedding performers to match his rhythm, and he kept thinking the song was so damn kitschy and tacky, but he kept at it and practiced and practiced until his fingers hurt.

When he preformed it on the wedding day, Dizzy and Ky practically jumped to their feet to clap and cheer, the rest of the crowd joining in very soon after.

A part of him missed this, being on stage on hearing people cheer and shout his name, but all he could really think about and see was his daughter’s brilliant smile.

(He hugged her after he finished, nearly getting crushed by his sobbing daughter. As he hugged her close, he whispered into her ear, half proud and half astonished, “You smile just like your mother…you know that?”

Dizzy sniffed loudly and hugged him tighter.

He finds himself strumming a few bars of the song every so often despite himself…sure, it’s a bit cheesy, but if Dizzy likes it, how bad could it be?)

this is honestly amazing. If his band wrote the vocal songs thought and he already had problems singing tsuki no shihai, i don´t want to know what “worthless as the sun above clouds” would do to his throat.

“Worthless as the sun above clouds” was actually Asuka’s prototype for Tsuki no Shihai. Sol tried exactly once, got about half way through and stopped. He looked at Asuka and said that if doesn’t tone this Cannibal Corpse shit down at least a little he will never let him write another song ever again. (Asuka grumbled and said that, if anything, the song is more akin to something from Obscura. Aria smacked him upside the head and told him to get his head out of his ass and write something that someone with a flesh and blood throat is capable of singing.)

How to respond to anon hate.

1. Look at the anon hate.

2. Send anonymous ask to yourself using anon.

3. Make it exactly the same as the anon hate except use a homestuck troll typing quirk. It doesn’t matter which one.

4. Respond to the fake anon hate by roasting them for impersonating a homestuck troll.

5. The real anon now has a choice. The can come off anon and prove that you changed their message, or they can wallow in silence, knowing that they have failed to bother you.

You win either way
