Long story short, someone has figured out how to get javascript into FFN user bios. They’re using it to copy that exact same script into other peoples’ bios, spreading it like a virus.
And:
It’s safe to login, and you can edit your profile through the normal profile edit page. But DON’T check any user profiles – not even your own, I think. (it might change your penname) Once you edit it yourself, you should be ok to look at your own again, but not any others for now.
Y’know if this is valid, then I have yet another reason to be glad I never bothered with an FFN account.

To add correction, this code CAN’T target accounts that are NOT logged in.
What
is happening that code checks the login cookie for the user login data,
then uses that to send shit ton of edit requests to the server, trying
to hit the correct user ID. However, due to the sheer number of the
requests and the fact that this thing fires off each time mouse is over
the infected section of the page, it sends so many that eventually,
through sheer law of probability (AKA brute force), it hits the correct
ID and gets a pass.
If you are infected, please clear out your bio to remove the malicious code so that anyone visiting you won’t get infected.
Best
way to defend from this right now are not to be logged in, clear out
FF.net cookies and DO NOT VISIT PROFILES. If you are logged in, this
script WILL target you if you visit any infected bios.
So if you haven’t logged in in forever, DON’T log in, and if you have, edit your profile to make sure it’s ok, check that no strange backup email has been added to your account, then log out and purge your cookies. And don’t view any user profiles until this thing blows over.

1. Endpapers
The two sheets of paper that live at the beginning and the end of a book. They often have patterns or colors that enhance the design.
2. Casewrap
If a hardcover book has a jacket, whatever is underneath is considered the casewrap. Modern, visual books use laminated paper as a casewrap, allowing designers to print patterns, colors, and images. (Here are some especially creative examples.)
3. Book Block
The main text or body of the book after all the signatures have been collated or gathered. We sometimes add a little flair to the book edges.
4. Gutter
The blank space or inner margin that separates printing area from the binding.
5. Headband
Small decorative strip of textile used at the top and bottom of a casebound book to decoratively fill the gap between the spine and cover.
6. Backbone
The back of a bound book connecting the front and back covers—also known as the spine.

Terry Crews came out and admitted he had been sexually assulted by someone in the film industry, and is now being blacklisted. I have been a fan of his since Idiocracy, and will continue to support all of his work.
So when you wonder why people don’t come forward with their assults, this is why.
Where are all the bitch men who ask about male sexual assault when the focus is on women but are dead silent when men are actually at the focus.

This misses the really powerful piece of the story: Terry Crews was the one who chose not to do the movie. One of the producers told him, essentially, that he could either do the movie and be drop the sexual assault charges, or continue with the trial and have “troubles”. Terry dropped out because he felt standing against abusers was more important than his film career.
It’s bullshit that he was threatened in the first place, of course, but his response was ballsy. I admire him for it.

This is from a new New York Times article, regarding the technicalities of what has been said. They go even further to discuss what they accurately call “biggest battlegrounds” for transgender students: the bathrooms and locker rooms.
We can’t be quiet about this. They are trying to erase who we are. To make it so that we just DON’T EXIST. As a transgender male who lives in America, this scares the shit out of me.

When your child points out something you hoped they were too naive to notice. When your child is completely aware of your insecurity and fallability. When your child may exceed your capabilities academically. When your child is not just hurt but angry with you. When your child won’t take ‘no’ for a sufficient answer. When you must explain yourself to a child.
When the authority you imagined you had over them begins to waver, and they become someone so different than the fantasy you had of them before they were born.
That is going to matter the most. What will you do?
