When they finally rescue Eri, she becomes hopelessly attached to Midoriya. Instead of traumatizing her more by separating the two they allow Midoriya to be her guardian.
What surprises the teachers most is how easily Midoriya takes to being a father.
He easily juggles class, Training and Helping Eri adjust to her new life. He helps her with homework and gets up even earlier to make sure she has fresh breakfast and packed lunch. He takes to making dinner for everyone in their dorm and even helps her through panic attacks with ease.
It’s his interaction with Eri that proves to everyone just how great Midoriya will be.
