indygnation:

Can’t seriously decide between “scarred for good mentally”-Eri or “tries her best to take life in more positive stride despite her traumatic times before rescue”-Eri if I’d depict her in my works

Like idk, I want best of her but damn she must has had gone through so fucked-up time (down to estrangement from her parents, blown to bits, etc)

Still if to keep on the theme of optimism in the series, I want her to possess some deal of mental tenacity and willingness to fight against the demons of her past – make Eri the hero of her own life!

Trauma doesn’t just…go away. If someone has been hurt to the extent that Eri has, it’s going to leave it’s mark, no matter what.

But with the right support system, professional help, and people helping her and loving her all the way, she can learn to live with her trauma, learn to accept it and live her life to the fullest that she is able.

Trauma doesn’t go away, pain doesn’t go away, and some scars don’t fade. And sometimes there’s nothing a person can do to change that.

But what she can do, is learn to live with it.

Eri can fight her pain, and while she may never win, it will never beat her.
